Meet Dandelion:
Her name comes from a small flower, often referred to as a weed. Dandelion is bright and a little unruly, the kind of presence that grows where it is not expected and does not wait for permission. She would be the one gathered into a small bouquet or woven into a crown, offered to someone you love without overthinking it. The one you picked from the field when you were supposed to be keeping your eye on the ball, drawn to something simple and alive. Rugged and hopeful, she carries a quiet kind of joy that insists on being noticed.

Journal Day 32:
Dandelion came from a few loose strands and a craving for spring. I found myself reaching for something brighter, something that might soften the feeling of winter.

There is something about dandelions that has always stayed with me. They are durable, persistent, growing wherever they can. Often labelled as weeds, pushed aside or overlooked.

And yet they are also joy. Gathered into small bouquets. Twisted into crowns. Given with care to people we love, even if they only last a few minutes before they curl in on themselves.

There is a tenderness in that. A kind of beauty that does not try to last forever, but still lands.

This one feels rugged and soft at the same time. A small brightness in the middle of winter.
