Meet Gumball:
Bright, round, and impossible to take too seriously, Gumball is here for fun. A tiny celebration of colour, play, and the things that make us smile for absolutely no sensible reason.

Journal Day 36:
Somewhere along the way, being an adult can become very serious.

We make lists.
We make plans.
We make responsible choices.
We make things useful.

Gumball is not particularly useful.

And I love that about him.

He reminds me of being a kid and putting a coin into a gumball machine, turning the handle, and waiting to see which colour would tumble down.

You didn't get to choose.

That was part of the magic.

There was anticipation.
Surprise.
A tiny bit of delight.

Maybe growing up doesn't mean leaving those things behind.

Maybe we just have to get better at noticing them.

Or occasionally making them ourselves.
