Meet Rain Drop:
Rain Drop is here for only a moment. A tiny reminder that something doesn't have to last forever to matter.

Journal Day 41:
A raindrop has a remarkably short life as a raindrop.

It forms.
It falls.
It lands.

And then it becomes something else.

Part of a puddle.
A lake.
The soil.
A plant.
Eventually, perhaps, the sky again.

I find that strangely comforting.

We put so much emphasis on making things last.

Friendships.
Jobs.
Phases of our lives.
Versions of ourselves.

And when something ends, we can be quick to wonder whether it worked.

But maybe permanence isn't the measure.

Some things are meant to belong to a particular moment.

They arrive.
They change something.
And then they become part of whatever comes next.

Rain Drop doesn't need to last forever.

Neither does everything else.
