Meet Boop:
Boop is named for the act of gently touching someone on the nose and saying, “boop.”

Journal Day 52:
Boop may be one of my favourite words that isn't really a word.

It is a sound effect, a greeting, an interruption and, under the right circumstances, an entire conversation.

Boop.

Hard to say without feeling at least slightly ridiculous.

I spend a fair amount of my life in words. Finding the right ones. Rearranging them. Trying to make them clear, thoughtful or useful.

Boop asks considerably less of language.

No explanation required. No deeper meaning hiding underneath.

Just a tiny bit of silliness that somehow communicates exactly what it needs to.

Boop.
