Meet Plum:
Plum is blue. I realize this raises some questions.

But she looked like a Plum, so Plum she became.

Journal Day 51:
I have named enough ducks now to know that the names rarely arrive through careful deliberation.

Plum is a good example.

She is objectively much closer to blue than plum. There is no clever explanation for the name and no story connecting the two.

She just looked like Plum.

So much of making seems to happen this way. A colour works. A stitch lands. A name appears. You could spend hours explaining why, but the explanation would probably be less interesting than the instinct itself.

So this is Plum.
