Meet Blueberry:
Blueberry is a radiant little duck who thrives in good company, grows brighter in shared celebration, and reminds me that who surrounds you shapes what you believe is possible.

Journal Day 9:
This little duck was made on Family Day. Sunlight pouring into my mom’s family room. The Olympics humming in the background. Voices layered over one another. The blue pulled from a spool already in motion, yarn chosen for a dog sweater for our puppy turning two the next day.

Everything about this duck feels communal.

There is so much enthusiasm in this room for one another’s efforts. Small wins are noticed. Big dreams are spoken out loud. This duck project is not just mine. It is held, cheered, photographed. My daughter has proudly taken on the role of official duck photographer, which may be the most serious job of all.

Finishing Blueberry felt different. Motivated. Buoyed. I could feel how the energy around me expanded what felt possible. Not just one duck. Not just nine. But the idea that something small, done daily, can ripple outward.
