Meet Marigold:
Marigold holds herself with a kind of quiet reserve. She is not closed off, just discerning. The kind of duck that feels a little coveted, like you would pause before reaching for her. There is depth in her, something rich and steady that does not ask for attention but naturally draws it. She feels both precious and sturdy, soft in presence but clear in where she stands.
Journal Day 21:
Marigold feels coveted.
There was a doll from a kids show I grew up with who carried that same feeling. Reserved, composed, almost untouchable in a way that made you lean in a little closer. I think about that when I see marigolds too. The colour is so rich, so deep, it feels like something you would not want to disturb.
This one carries that energy.
Precious, but not fragile. Sturdy, but not loud about it.
I find myself wondering about that balance. How to hold something as precious without tipping into indulgence or isolation. How to be fully expressed, rich in colour and experience, and still maintain a boundary that feels respectful.
Not closed. Not ruffled. Just clear.
There is something about that kind of presence that feels both grounded and intentional.
